held its 5th International Conference on Coasts, Ports and Marine Structures,
ICOPMAS '2002, in collaboration with Arab and CIS countries , AIHR, IMO, IAPH,
The Conference aimed to communicate recent advances and bring together all the experts in the field of coastal engineering, ports and marine works. ICOMPAS '2002 provided an international forum where coastal, ports and marine engineers from different countries exchanged ideas and experiences. Emphasis was given to new areas of research and advances on the topics of the Conference particularly with application to the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea and the Caspian Sea. The overall theme for ICOMPAS '2002 was "Regional Co-operation in Port and Coastal Engineering and Marine Affairs." For more information about ICOPMAS, click here.
When
was it: 16th to 19th September 2002 Spillcon 2002 is the Asia Pacific region's premier oil spill conference, which offers delegates the best advice and latest information concerning oil spill prevention and response technologies. A trade exhibition and on-water demonstration of the latest in oil spill response equipment was held during the conference. The full program was posted to the site early in 2002. IMEMS When
was it : 2nd to 4th September 2002 IMEMS 2002 focused on concepts and tools to support better environmental management. The meeting was a forum for presentation of analysis tools, concepts, exchange of ideas, and technology transfer, and was of interest to environmental managers, researchers, and consultants.
