Mr. Howlett is Chief
Executive Officer of Applied Science Associates Inc. He has over 10
years of experience in international project management. He specializes
in GIS, computer user interface development and integration of a wide
variety of computer models for simulation of physical, chemical and
biological processes in the marine environment. Mr. Howlett manages
a team of software engineers who develop in-house research tools and
commercial software products.
Mr. Howlett is product manager for OILMAP, a PC-based oil spill response
system which has been applied to regions throughout the world. He has
been involved in applying this software for oil spill analysis and oil
spill contingency studies internationally. He also has extensive experience
in industry and government sponsored spill drill exercises, as well
as actual spill events.
